Frisco, N.C. – A worker at a tackle shop in Frisco has been arrested in a scam involving winning lottery tickets cashed at the shop.

41-year-old Jermaine Joseph Lopez of Buxton has been charged with felony larceny by employee.

When a customer cashed in a winning lottery ticket Lopez allegedly would also take money, making it appear that the total payout had gone to the person cashing in the ticket. This happened numerous times according to the Dare County Sheriff’s Office.

Lopez was released on a $30,000 secured bond.
