Update: Investigators say that a 2006 Ford Econoline was traveling north on S. Military Highway when 70- year-old Ellen Eugenia Hibbert, stepped out from between two cars, and onto the Ford’s path. She was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Virginia Beach, Va. – A woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Saturday night after being hit by a car.
According to police, around 8:24 p.m., they received a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian at the intersection of S. Military Highway and Auburn Dr.
Members of the Fatal Accident Crash Team are on scene investigating.
Traffic is being re-routed through the shopping center. Police are asking drivers to avoid the area since the intersection will be closed for several hours for the investigation.
