Three men under investigation after shooting in Elizabeth City

Elizabeth City, N.C. – Three men are being investigated after a man went to the hospital for a gunshot wound in Elizabeth City on Saturday night.

Officials responded to a shooting on 109 Lafayette Avenue around 10:46 p.m. Police arrived to a large house party and found 22-year-old Quinton Tavon Roach with a grazing gunshot wound.

Roach said he was outside waiting in his car when three men approached him. The three men then opened his door, tried to hit him with a bottle and then shot a bullet that grazed his right eye before running away.

Roach was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.

One of the three suspects has been identified as 19-year-old Jamar Vick Allen. Allen has not yet been apprehended, but warrants for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill have been made.

The names of the other two individuals have not been released at this time.
