Suffolk, Va. – Charges were dropped in the case of a man accused of robbery, assault and a hit and run in February of 2015.

According to Suffolk City spokeswoman Diana Klink, around 3:15 a.m. on February 23, 2015, a police officer responded to a suspicious persons call on Mt. Horeb St.

Upon arrival, the officer met a man who said during an argument with his boyfriend he was allegedly assaulted, his wallet was taken and that his vehicle was hit with another car while moving.

Officers obtained warrants for the arrest of 28-year-old James Donyell Gotti Saturday evening. Gotti was charged with robbery, hit and run property damage, and assault and battery of a family or household member. Those charges were dropped in April of that year.

No further details have been released.
