Man wanted for robbing Hampton Shell station

r1Hampton, Va. – Hampton police are searching for a man who robbed the Shell gas station in the 3300 block of West Mercury Boulevard early Wednesday morning.

The man entered the gas station shortly after midnight and demanded money at gunpoint before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, light-skinned tone, 5’0, 180 pounds, last seen wearing a camouflage coat, a dark green hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark shoes, black gloves, and a black full face mask.

Anyone with information that will assist police is encouraged to contact the Hampton Police Division at 727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Tipsters can also send an anonymous tip via text message to the Crime Line by texting “HAMPTONPDTIPS plus your tip” to 274637 (CRIMES). Crime Line callers remain anonymous and never appear in court. If a Crime Line call results in an arrest, the caller is eligible for a reward up to $1,000.00.
