Virginia Beach, Va. - Virginia Beach Police are investigating the burglary of AWH Arms & Ammo store in the Booth Hill Shoppes shopping center in the 1400 block of General Booth Boulevard.

Employees at a neighboring business noticed that a window had been broken out and notified police on Thursday morning.

Police now confirm that guns were stolen from the business sometime between midnight and 8:00 a.m. It is still unknown at this time how many guns or what type of guns were taken.

Despite the burglary, neighboring businesses say they still feel safe working and shopping in the center.

"I feel very safe here the traffic that comes in here are good customers good client base throughout all the stores here very safe," said Wendy Deckner, Owner of Muddy Buddy of Virginia.

Additional details will be added as they become available. Stay tuned to WTKR for updates.
