Suffolk, Va. – Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire and Rescue crews have responded to an industrial accident.

Emergency Communications received the call at 7:31 a.m. Thursday morning, advising of the accident at Amadas Industries in the 300 block of Kenyon Road off Route 58.

A 58-year-old man was working under a large piece of farm equipment when a portion of the equipment fell on him, officials say. He was extricated by Suffolk Fire and Rescue personnel and received emergency medical treatment and assessment and was ground transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, according to police. OSHA was notified of the accident.
