Kafur National Park, Zambia — Video of a hungry hungry hippo chasing down and lunging at a speed boat in Zambia’s Kafue National Park has gone viral after a tour guide posted the clip on Facebook.
Michael Varndell told the Daily Mail he was surprised by the hippo’s aggressive moves.
“Normally Hippos would not be aggressive unless they have babies or unless they feel threatened,” Varndell said. “To be fair one had a baby, but the bottom line is the Kafue is still so raw and wild and undiscovered.”
No one was injured. The video has been viewed nearly 200,000 times on Varndell’s Facebook page.
