Update: The interstate has now reopened.
Virginia Beach, Va. – Right now, I-264 westbound at Birdneck Road is closed due to an accident.
The interstate is closed between Parks Avenue and First Colonial Road.
The onramps north and southbound at Birdneck are also closed. Detours are in place to First Colonial Road.
Police say this was a two-vehicle crash. No one suffered life-threatening injuries.
