Four without home after fire in Chesapeake

Chesapeake, Va. – Sparks from a fireplace caused a fire on Monday that left a family of four without a home in Chesapeake.

It happened in the Deep Creek section of the city in the 200 block of Bishop Street at around 12:26 p.m.

Crews were on the scene within minutes and found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

They were able to get it under control by 12:52 p.m.

No one was injured and the Red Cross has been contacted to help the family.
