Suffolk, Va. – One person was sent to the hospital late Saturday night after a mobile home fire in Suffolk.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the fire just before 11 p.m. Saturday in the 5400 block of Pruden Boulevard.

Firefighters say after they arrived on scene they found a single story trailer with flames showing from the front windows. One person was assessed for smoke inhalation and burns to their hands. The victim was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital.

As a result of the fire, firefighters say two people are displaced. One resident is being assisted by the American Red Cross and the other will be staying with family.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause.
