Princess Anne Road reopens after SUV crashes into house

Virginia Beach, Virginia - A Mercedes SUV crashed into a home shortly before 4:00am in the 200 block of Coventry Road near Princess Anne Road.

Power lines were knocked down in the accident and left approximately 40 homes without power.

The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The homeowner tells NewsChannel 3's Darragh Copley that the driver hit the power pole right before Coventry, then kept going , hitting her two cars then coming to an end in their garage.

She says the driver got out started limping away, then officers tracked him down and took him to the hospital.

No one inside the home was hurt.

Princess Anne Road has reopened after Dominion Power crews cleared downed power lines.
