VDOT says crews will be performing routine maintenance along interstate I-64 at the High Rise Bridge this weekend. The maintenance requires several test lifts, which may impact travel times.
The openings will take place between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Sunday, November 2. Each opening is expected to last about 20 minutes, and will impact travel in both directions. Crews will be monitoring traffic throughout the night to make sure congestion remains minimal. The lifts will not impact maritime traffic.
VDOT attempts to schedule work during travel periods when traffic volumes are lower, to reduce impact to motorists.
