Eastern Shore, Va. – A 30-year-old woman has died after a two-vehicle accident on the Eastern Shore on Wednesday.

Police say calls came in at 4:47 p.m. about the accident.

This happened in the 10300 block of Temperanceville Road. Police say a 2001 Hyundai Accent was going westbound on Temperanceville Road. They say the driver of the vehicle failed to yield and drove into the path of a 2001 Dodge Durango which was going northbound on Route 13.

The driver of the Hyundai died at the scene. She’s been identified as Catilina Perez Mejia of Nelsonia, Virginia.

There were three other people who were also inside of the Hyundai and they were all taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Durango had four people inside. The driver and another person suffered minor injuries. The driver of the Durango was identified as 39-year-old Scott Rosenwald of Elizabeth City.

Family members have been notified. Alcohol and speed did not play a factor in this accident. Officials say everyone was wearing their seatbelts.
