Norfolk, Va. - A person was shot during an attempted robbery late last night.
It happened right before 11 p.m. on Chapel Street.
Police say a highly intoxicated man was trying to buy an alcoholic beverage in the 400 block of Chapel Street. The victim told police an unknown man tried to rob him and then shot him before leaving the area, police say.
The victim was treated at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for a non-life threatening injury.
The investigation is currently being handled by the Detective Division.
Police have not released any information about the possible shooter.
