On Tuesday afternoon, the driver of a Freightliner was injured when the truck overturned on I-64 westbound. The driver was charged with fail to secure load.
Officials say at 1:52 p.m., a 1999 Freightliner FLD 120 was hauling logs and stumps. The driver was trying to get to I-64 westbound from Route 199.
The vehicle’s load shifted causing the driver to lose control. The driver identified as Maurice Harold Staton had minor injuries.
Traffic was detoured while crews worked to clear the scene.
