Suffolk man hits it big winning $125,000 in scratcher game

Suffolk, Va. – One man almost had to pinch himself after he realized he had a lottery ticket worth $125,000 in his hand.

Daryle Halterman, an agricultural inspector from Suffolk, says he was dumbfounded as he claimed his big prize.

This happened at the Gas N Go on Holland Road in Suffolk. He won playing the Lucky Numbers Scratcher game.

He showed it to the clerk and said, “Tell me this is real.”

The clerk then looked at the ticket and hugged him.

Halterman says he plans to pay bills with his winnings. He was a top prize winner.
