UPDATE: Police have now charged a suspect in connection to an earlier robbery in Newport News. They’ve charged 30-year-old  Michael Anthony Collins of York County. He has been charged with robbery and is now in the city jail. 

Newport News, Va. – Newport News Police are currently on scene at a bank robbery in the 400 block of Denbigh Boulevard.

Police say the suspect implied a weapon, presented a note and was given an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured.

Police say they have a possible suspect detained at Lees Mill and Charles Street.
