UPDATE: W. Princess Anne Road not accessible from Hampton Blvd. due to crash

UPDATE: Hampton Blvd. has reopened, but W. Princess Anne Road is not accessible from Hampton Blvd. at this time.

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk police are currently working an accident involving a tractor trailer at Colley Avenue and W. Princess Anne Road.

The tractor trailer struck a utility pole.

There were no injuries reported from this accident; and the tractor trailer stayed on scene.

Traffic is being diverted away from that intersection.

Officers are at Maury Avenue and Colley Avenue, diverting traffic toward Hampton Blvd. on Maury Avenue.

Officers are diverting traffic at Colonial Avenue and W. Princess Anne Road, so no traffic can travel west on W. Princess Anne Road.

Officers are at Graydon Avenue and Colley Avenue, and finally at Hampton Blvd. and W. Princess Anne Road.

Please be cautious when driving in this area, police say, and expect traffic delays.

NPD Officers are currently investigating this accident, and as of now, it is unknown whether or not the driver of the tractor trailer has been charged with a traffic violation.
