Charlotte,  N.C. – A father faces assault charges after allegedly starting a brawl at his daughter’s softball game when his 13-year-old daughter was teased about the breast cancer she is fighting.

13-year-old Hannah Roberts underwent a mastectomy a few months ago but has continued to play fast-pitch softball.

Hannah’s mother says people were making fun of Hannah’s illness calling her “cancer girl” at a game over the weekend, according to WSOC.

Police were called to the field after Hannah’s father and several others allegedly rushed the opposing dugout. One parent was left with a bloody nose.

The opposing team’s coach says no one knew Hannah had cancer and no one on his team was taunting her about it.
