UPDATE: All lanes are now back open.

Chesapeake, Va. - Right now, crews are working to clear the scene after a semi tanker hauling thousands of gallons of gasoline and diesel crashed into a ditch on Route 58 and Bisco Street.

Police say the tanker was trying to turn into the Kangaroo Gas Station when it got stuck in a ditch and tipped over onto its side.

This happened in the 5100 block of West Military Highway and crews were dispatched out to the scene a little before 4 p.m. One lane in the eastbound direction is closed.

The truck was hauling 5500 gallons of gasoline and 2000 gallons of diesel. Crews are now working to move this to another tanker.

HAZMAT crews are on the scene now.

None of the fuel leaked from the tanker.

Once all of the product is removed, crews will take the tanker from the ditch.

It is unknown how long the lane will be closed.
