Columbia, SC (WHNS) — Cleaning out a purse proved to be beneficial for a lottery winner in Liberty.

The South Carolina Education Lottery said the woman was cleaning out her purse when she found a lottery ticket worth $200,000.

The woman said she just about had a heart attack when she checked the value of the Palmetto Cash 5’s ticket. She was so thrilled, she drove straight to the lottery’s office in Columbia to claim the cash.

Because she spent an extra $1 to Power-Up, her prize was twice the original prize.

Anderson BP in Anderson received $2,000 commission for selling the claimed ticket.
