Employees robbed at gunpoint at Newport News 7-Eleven

Newport News, Va. - Newport News Police need help to solve a robbery from a business.

On July 6, 2014, just before 2 a.m., a black male suspect entered the 7-Eleven store at 9903 Jefferson Avenue and robbed the two store employees at gunpoint.

The suspect, armed with a handgun, approached a store clerk and demanded the money from the register. The suspect jumped over the counter twice during the robbery, taking an undisclosed amount of money and boxes of cigarettes.

The suspect then ran away from the store.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 150 lbs., 5’8” to 5’10” and was last seen wearing a black hoody, a black and white bandanna covering his face, gloves, black jeans, black and white sneakers and was carrying a black drawstring Adidas bag.
