Update: The two lanes are now back open.

Suffolk, Va. – Two lanes are now closed after a dump truck and a flat bed truck were involved in an accident on Monday.

Calls came in at around 2:30 p.m. about the accident on Portsmouth Blvd./Route 58 between the Landfill and the Weigh Scales. Police say a dump truck and an empty flatbed truck were involved.

Officials say a large tractor trailer was hauling scrap auto parts. A combination of diesel fuel, hydraulic fluid and engine oil spilled into the ditch when the truck landed on its side.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue dammed the ditch to prevent the flow of liquids.

A firm will be assisting with clean-up.

No one was injured.

They initially closed all eastbound lanes, but now one lane is open and two others are still closed.

Police are now investigating the cause of the accident.
