Tornado watch issued for portions of Virginia, NC until 8 a.m. Friday

A tornado watch has been issued for several portions of Virginia and North Carolina until 8 a.m. Friday.

It remains in effect for Camden, Currituck, and Pasquotank.

This also includes Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Virginia Beach.

A Tornado Watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop.
