Free HIV testing in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach, Va. – Each year on June 27, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, AIDS.gov and other national and local entities across the country organize National HIV Testing Day.

The initiative sends the message, “Take the Test, Take Control” to those at risk from HIV.

In Virginia Beach, the Department of Human Services and the Health Department have partnered to provide two opportunities for free testing.

Time: 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Time: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Both events will include refreshments, giveaways, and raffles.

The event is sponsored by the Virginia Beach Department of Human Services, Community Support Services – HIV Prevention

National HIV Testing Day is an annual campaign to encourage people of all ages to “Take the Test, Take Control.” In the United States, nearly 1.1 million people are living with HIV, and one in six don’t know they are infected.
