Getting around roads in Virginia or at times bouncing around them, is always an adventure.

To make driving in Virginia a little easier, the Commonwealth's Department of Transportation recently launched Virginiaroads.org.

It's being billed as the one-stop shop for what you need to know.

It's merged 511, along with other info that had previously been scattered across multiple sites all into one more, user-friendly page.

There you can check on road conditions: the good, the bad, and the I-264.

The stretch of Interstate 264 in Virginia Beach is listed in very poor condition.

I-64 just south of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel, rated barely better. Virginiaroads.org deems that stretch of highway "poor."

To fix all the roads that everyone complains about, you're going to be seeing a lot of these on the roads. The website breaks down the status of all construction projects in your area. So before you get going to where you're going to, you know if there will be any back-ups on the way.

And then there's another part of the website that hopefully won't be relevant for a while--snow maps, showing which highways are clear.
