Chesapeake Animal Services hosting cat adoption event


Chesapeake, Va. (WTKR) — Chesapeake City Council announced June as “Adopt-a-Cat” month and has partnered with  Chesapeake Animal Services to find homes for over 100 cats and kittens.

The “Kitty Korral” will take place at the  Chesapeake Animal Services shelter on S. Military Highway from June 22 to June 29.

The fee for adopting adult cats is $5.99 and kittens will be $9.99.

Prospective cat owners can also purchase an additional cat for under $1.

Every adoption will include spay, neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping.
