“Super Load” could cause traffic delays in Suffolk

Suffolk, Va. – Two super load moves involving separate sections of a mobile home could cause delays in traffic Wednesday, June 11, 2014 between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The two trucks will begin their journey in North Carolina and are planning to travel into Suffolk via the Franklin Bypass to Route 58 eastbound to Route 513/Leafwood Road concluding in the 6200 block of Leafwood Road.

Each load and truck will measure 14 feet 10 inches tall, 16 feet wide, 108 feet long, and weigh 73,000 pounds.

The move will have certified front and rear escorts as well as Suffolk Police escorts.
