Portsmouth, Va. – Police are currently investigating a robbery at a pharmacy in Portsmouth.

Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the CVS Pharmacy in the 1800 block of Frederick Boulevard in Portsmouth just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning.

Police say a man came in the store and demanded prescription drugs from the pharmacy employees. Even though he did not display a weapon, employees felt that his actions implied that he could have possibly been armed.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20’s wearing a gray hoodie and carrying a black backpack.
