King’s Fork High student charged after large knife found in backpack

A King’s Fork High School student was taken into custody Friday after being found with a large knife in his backpack.

According to a release, 18-year-old Nathan Brian Cunningham was taken into custody and released on a summons for Possession of a Concealed Weapon on School Property.

The knife, which was over nine inches long, was not displayed in a threatening manner and no students were injured.

A spokesperson for the school says Cunningham has been suspended and recommended for expulsion.
