Hampton Police are looking for a man who is wanted in connection to a shooting that happened Thursday night.

Police say they received multiple calls about a shooting in the Sonic parking lot in the 2000 block of West Mercury Boulevard around 8:08 p.m.

When police arrived, they learned that the suspect, who has been identified as 20-year-old Victor Collin Sims Jr., got involved in a verbal altercation with an employee.

The manager of the restaurant told NewsChannel 3 that the argument had nothing to do with the restaurant and that it was over an unrelated issue. However, he wouldn't give any more details.

Sims reportedly displayed a firearm and shot it multiple times before fleeing the scene in a gold four-door sedan towards Pine Chapel Road.

No one was injured, but the business was struck several times.

Sims is wanted and has warrants on file for one count of shooting into an occupied building, one count of attempted maiming and one count of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
