Damage reported as severe weather rolls through Hampton Roads

Several areas in Hampton Roads were under severe thunderstorm warnings.

TORNADO WARNING: The National Weather Service has issued a tornado WARNING for Isle of Wight, Southampton, Surry, Sussex, Franklin, and Suffolk until 7:15 p.m. and Gloucester, Middlesex, and Williamsburg until 7 p.m.

Right now 8 trees are down on 460 and power lines are down in
the area of Sussex County. There are no reports of injuries right now according
to Sheriff Raymond Bell. This is westbound of Waverly. Trees are blocking lanes
east and westbound on 460. Some of the main streets are without power.

There is a report of a house that has been struck by lightning according to Scott Maynard in Franklin, a firefighter there.
