Driver facing charges after hitting curb, slamming into tree and sign


Norfolk, Va. – A man is facing reckless driving charges after police say he hit a curb and slammed into a tree and a sign for Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk on Wednesday.

Emergency officials were notified about the accident at 5:51 p.m. at Colley and Brambleton Avenue.

The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they believe alcohol may have been a factor.

The investigation is ongoing.

      i was there…..he went airborne….it shocked me….thank gid no one wad walking across that street….they would have been gone at the rate of speed he was going…..
