The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 31-year-old man who was allegedly involved in several sexual encounters with a minor in 2009 and 2010.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that the female victim, now an adult, came forward on May 13th and reported that she had several sexual encounters with 31-year-old Gordon T. Hammersley while he was serving as her private tennis coach when she was 14 to 15-years-old, between November 2009 and June 2010.

Several of the incidents reportedly occurred in Hammersley’s car when he was parked in York County.

Hammersley has been charged with seven counts of Indecent Liberties by a person in a custodial or supervisory relationship.

Hammersley was last known to live in the 10th block of Willowood Drive in Yorktown. Investigators are interested to know if there are more victims and are encouraging anyone with information to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
