UPDATE: Police identify suspect after man found dead in Hampton home

UPDATE: Police have identified Kwaume Laray Edwards, 25, as a suspect in the death of a Hampton man.  He is currently wanted for one count of homicide and one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony.  His last known address is on E. Circuit Lane.  Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Hampton, Va. – Police are asking for assistance in identifying a suspect after a man was shot to death Saturday morning around 5:30 a.m.

The victim is Jonathan Bradley Coles, 28.

Officers were initially flagged down in the first block of Dogwood Street and told there was a shooting in the area of Newport News Ave. and Shell Road.

When officers arrived, they found evidence that there had been a shooting in the 600 block of Newport News Avenue and found Coles dead inside a residence.

The victim suffered from a single gunshot wound to the upper torso.

There is no motive or suspect information at this time and the shooting remains under investigation.
