Jury finds Randy Taylor guilty of Alexis Murphy’s murder

A jury in Nelson County has found Randy Allen Taylor guilty of first-degree murder and abduction with intent to defile in connection with the disappearance of Alexis Murphy, a Nelson County teen who went missing last August.

The jury recommended life sentences on both counts.

CBS 6 News in Richmond reported that the verdict was read around 4:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon and the sentencing followed immediately afterwards.

    it’s about time. this POS was implicated in one or two other disappearances of women never found years ago but never convicted. Alexis would be alive and with her loving family today if law enforcement had had enough evidence but this slick piece of slime was just too cunning….well he couldn’t stop preying upon the innocent and he finally got caught — unfortunately too much too late for Alexis…… Wish he’d have gotten the DP. Mr. and Mrs. Murphy I am so so sorry for the loss of your darling girl.
