Baltimore, MD. – The most shocking part happens about 1:10 in.

Citizen videographer Nick Reyes recorded the 26th Street landslide in Charles Village as the road collapsed, sending cars onto a CSX railroad track.

As heavy rains swept the mid-Atlantic this week, many states experienced severe flooding.

The mayor addressed the public Wednesday.

“What I do know is that we’ve had to deal with sinkholes, large sinkholes before and we have a great team of people that are going to put all the resources necessary to deal with this as efficiently as possible and focus on safety, and that is why the first thing we are doing is testing the structural integrity of the road that is left — and the homes — because we want to make sure whatever we do keeping individuals that are working on this problem safe,” said Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.
