The Japan-based ‘Royal Maces’ of Strike Fighter Squadron 27 filmed their F/A-18E Super Hornets skimming the Pacific and passing snow-covered mountains in a video that’s drawing a lot of attention on YouTube.

The pilots shot the high-definition footage from their cockpits at various locations in the Pacific theater while deployed aboard the USS George Washington, according to Stars & Stripes.

The 5-minute clip has been watched over 400,000 times, and is a trailer for the 27-minute film of their 2013-2014 deployment.

The full video will debut at NAF Atsugi’s Spring Festival on May 3.

It was assembled by Lt. David Tarr, with help from other pilots in the squadron who purchased and mounted their own cameras.
