Woman charged after police say she stabbed a relative in the leg

Williamsburg, Va. – Police have charged a woman after they say she stabbed a relative in the leg during an argument.

On April 20, 2014 around 1:24 a.m., Williamsburg Police responded to the 100 block of Merrimac Trail in reference a report of a stabbing.

When crews arrived, officers determined that 47-year-old Charlene Wanda McClellan of Williamsburg stabbed her relative in the leg during a family argument.

The victim was transported to Riverside Doctors’ Hospital where he was treated for his injury.

McClellan was arrested and transported to Riverside Doctors’ Hospital where she was treated for a self-inflicted injury that occurred during the argument.

After being treated, McClellan was transported to the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail where she was charged with Maiming. She is being held without bond, police say.
