Parenting is a tough job. And the responsibilities of the job can lead to high levels of stress and anxiety.

The non-profit group Child Trends says the number of parents reporting “aggravation” has substantially increased in the past two decades.

According to the study, 20 percent of parents say they felt aggravated in 1997 compared to 35 percent of parents in 2007. That number has stayed relatively the same since then.

Researchers say stresses related to busy schedules, work and modern technology are likely reasons for the rise.
