Two injured in Portsmouth shooting

Portsmouth, Va. - Two people were injured after a shooting in Portsmouth Thursday night.

Police say they received calls at around 10:23 p.m. about shots heard in the 2500 block of Bird Lane.

One 23-year-old victim arrived at Maryview Hospital with a gunshot wound. He was later transported to Sentara Norfolk General where he is in stable condition and expected to fully recover.

The other victim, also 23, was found at the intersection of Victory Blvd. and Deep Creek Blvd and was taken to Sentara Norfolk General by medics. He in stable condition and also expected to fully recover.
