It’s been a long, hard winter. We’ve endured some really rotten days filled with snow and ice, single digit temperatures and below-zero wind chills. Mother Nature even threw in a few tornadoes for good measure.

But what was the very worst day of winter? We’ve pored over the record books to narrow it down to these six days. Look through the explanations below the poll and help us choose the very worst day of winter.

January 7
Our first brush with the Polar Vortex sent temperatures tumbling 41 degrees from the day before. We had a high of 26, a low of 14 and wind chills below zero. More: Hampton Roads school divisions take action to keep students safe and warm

January 11
