Portsmouth, Va. - Portsmouth police are now investigating after a man was shot several times on Wednesday night.
Calls came in to emergency officials at 7:39 p.m. about the incident at Maple Avenue and Randolph Street.
They say a man in his 30s is suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper torso. He has been taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. There's no word yet on the extent of his injuries.
