Briana Luckenbill’s mom clings to a piece of her daughter’s jewelry as she talks to NewsChannel 3.

“It says Hope. Yeah.. and Briana had a lot of different jewelry and things that meant things to her,” Amy Luckenbill-Wheeler said.

It’s the sort of comfort she needs two days after her daughter was killed in a car crash on I-64.

“I keep on getting text messages and Facebook messages saying I can’t imagine what you’re going through what you`re thinking.. quite frankly, I can`t imagine what I`m going through. I don`t know what I`m going through. I can`t even feel like it`s real,” she added.

It was a six-car crash that happened late Saturday night on I-64 near Armistead Road in Hampton. Now, state police are asking witnesses to come forward with what they saw.

“Take responsibility, if not you`re going to feel guilty for the rest of your life,” she told NewsChannel 3.

Earlier that day, Amy says her daughter was with her car club, and that they often get together and race on Saturdays. But, that’s not what she thinks was happening at the time of the crash.

“From my understanding, if there was any racing done, it had been done by the time this accident occurred,” she says.

At this point, police aren't saying what caused the crash, and Briana’s mom wants answers.

“If anyone knows anything as little as it can be whether or it was yes there was some speeding or a race two miles back or anything whatsoever please contact the news or police,” Briana’s mom pleads.

But until she gets those answers, it’s the hope that she holds onto, and that one day she’ll be with her daughter again.

“At least now I know that when I die I will know people in heaven. I didn`t know people before and now I will,” she said.
