UPDATE: Police investigating undetermined death of Suffolk teen

Update: Police say right now there are no signs of foul play. This investigation continues and it is now being treated as a possible accidental death. 

Suffolk, Va. – Police were called to the scene of an undetermined death in the 4000 block of Miles Avenue in the Pughsville neighborhood around 3:30 Saturday.

A 15-year-old white male was discovered by his family a half-mile into a wooded area. Police say nothing criminal happened, and it appears to have been some sort of accident. They will not release any further details.

NewsChannel 3 was on the scene while police were investigating. Firefighters were brought in to help remove the teen’s body. They had to walk on foot into the woods. They were seen carrying ladders and a body basket.

    Was this absolutely necessary? This poor kid has friends and family who are grieving his death-do you think anyone who knew him is going to want to read that? Have some compassion, for goodness sake. To mention ghoulish details like this shows a serious lack of class.
