UPDATE: Men accused of attacking ODU student appear in court

UPDATE: David Grimm, Jr.'s arraignment was continued until March 4, 2014. He remains in the custody of the Norfolk City Jail without bond.

Christopher Johnson's next court date is set for May 12, 2014.

Norfolk, Va. - On Thursday, the two men accused of attacking an ODU student near campus are expected in court.

Christopher Johnson and David Grimm, Jr. are scheduled to be arraigned this morning.

Johnson and David Grimm, Jr. were arrested earlier this week and charged in connection with the death of 20-year-old Paul Johnson.

The sophomore died Sunday after police say he was hit in the head while walking on 48th Street near his off-campus apartment.

Christopher Johnson is charged with misdemeanor assault.

Police charged Grimm with second-degree murder.

The two are from northern Virginia and school officials say they are not ODU students.
