Bank robbery under investigation in Virginia Beach

Virginia Beach Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon at the Bank of America located at 4616 Virginia Beach Boulevard.

Police say a caller stated that a lone suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and presented a note demanding money.

An undisclosed amount of money was handed to the suspect, who then fled the bank on foot heading west on Virginia Beach Boulevard.

The suspect is described as a white male, 50-60 years old, 5’6” to 5’7” tall, with a thin build.

He was dressed in a green flannel jacket, tan or black golfers cap and dark framed glasses.
