Portsmouth Police searching for burglary suspect

Portsmouth Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with several burglaries that occurred in the Churchland section of the city.

Police say the burglaries occurred in the 3600 block of Gateway Drive from December 2013 through February 15th, 2014.

Donta M. Copeland, 26, has been identified as the one involved in several of these cases.

He is described as a black male, approximately 5’9”, and weighing 145 pounds.

He is known to frequent the area of 3500 Thorne Avenue, Portsmouth and is currently wanted for several felonies to include burglary, grand larceny, obtaining money under false pretenses and larceny with the intent to sell.
