Candlelight vigil held for man shot and killed in Portsmouth

Portsmouth, Va. – Friends and family gathered to remember a man shot and killed in Portsmouth earlier this week.

Portsmouth police found 25-year-old Emmanuel Terry shot to death near Mt. Nebo Church on High Street earlier this week.

His family says that he was walking home from the gym just after 9:30 Monday night, when he was murdered.

“He was an older brother, like the best thing you could get as an older brother, never gave you the wrong information, never steered you wrong, if he had it he would give it to you, it is just unreal, it is just unreal,” said Cori Terry, Emmanuel’s younger brother.

Right now – investigators don’t have any suspects, but they have increased police patrols in that area since the shooting.
